Excellent starter & mid line book for smoothie lovers who are getting a newer machine to work on. I have a Vita Mix & have been using the tips & recipes in this book to create great smoothies from both fruits & veggies in a balanced & tasty way. I have also expanded my smoothies into soups & salsas using this book, but the best are the mix of both fans & writer's suggestions for blending fruit & veggie smoothies.

I can't figure out why this book is so much better than other smoothie books I've seen, but I am loving this book. The smoothies are so easy to make, don't require a ton of ingredients, and are so healthy. I love how she doesn't use dairy but is still able to produce thick "smooth" smoothies. Her writing style makes this a very easy read. I had no idea you could freeze avocados! She has great tips and I feel like I don't have to buy a bunch of weird ingredients or fill my blender all the way to to top with random ingredients to render a great smoothie. She also adds spices to some of her recipes which is something I hadn't really thought of (aside from adding fresh herbs, vanilla or cinnamon). I'm not a super novice smoothie maker, but I'm definitely not super experienced either. Sometimes making smoothies can be a little overwhelming because I think it's easy to get in a rut and get bored with the ingredients (and I'm not creative enough to think them up on my own). She offers such variety that I don't think that would happen. And I love that she labels them (such as Green Lover, Meal Replacement, Low Fruit, etc.) Oftentimes I'm looking to make a smoothie as a meal replacement so I can find those quickly without reading through all the ingredients. Love love love this book! ;)

Dont care for it as much as I thought I would. It essentially a bunch of recipes all mashed together and has hash tags for what kind of smoothie its classified as. I'd rather it be organized in easy to find categories such as green, detox ect... Not many pictures, (Im not sure why that makes a difference, but somehow it does) I just don't find myself reaching for it, because I feel like I have to sit down and investigate finding one to my liking with the listed ingredients. It has some good recipes, but I haven't tried enough to say that for certain.

I purchased this book over a year ago, because I tend to do a lot of veggie/protein powder smoothies (I have one at least every day post work out), and I tend to get bored pretty easily, so I like to try a variety of different things, though I do have a few favorite concoctions I make regularly. None of them are from this book, but overall I did like most of the recipes in here.So for me, because I strength train, and I have a pretty high activity level, and I'm a vegetarian, I added protein powder to everything I tried. I also reduced fruit amounts on many of them, because some of them contain more then my recommended daily allowance of fruit, and I also lowered fat content on some of them, because I have to be more careful about the amount of fat I consume for health reasons. Some of these I actually really liked, and even my sweet veggie smoothie averse hubby enjoyed some of them. Some of the ones I tried I can unfortunately honestly say I would never make them again, for myself or others. I think this book does a good job of incorporating a fair number of veggie recipes that are palatable, but some of that may be a matter of preference. I have a harder time with most recipes that incorporate parsley, and there is a decent number of those in this book. I have made a fair number of the recipes in here, and I do think it could be a good resource for you, but you may need to modify them as I did to meet any special dietary guidelines you have to follow.

It is a great book and there are recipes for the average person so you DO NOT have to go to the health food market to get a ton of specialty items and spend an arm and a leg. You use real fruits and veggies that you get at your local market or veggie stand. Thank you a book for the average person.

This is a great book and was entertaining to read. I had to laugh at the reviewer that mentioned a lack of recipes. There's over 100 recipes in this book. If that doesn't suit your smoothie making needs then I'm not sure what will. I was looking for a way to shed some fat and get more nutritious foods in my system and this book has helped me succeed. Definitely pleased with this purchase.

LOVE this book. The first half are her thoughts, experiences, insights and recommendations then the second half is recipes. I like how she gives detailed recommendations of different superfood powders. She does all the research for you on what you may have questions about like organic, vegan, low sugar, high protein and more.

I absolutely love this book. It's like the author is talking directly to me. There are links to smoothies by main ingredient. You can set bookmarks for your favorite recipes. It helped me lose 15 pounds weight and 30 points blood pressure without even trying.

I really like the general information in this book about making smoothies. I have made several of the recipes in this book and often modify the recipes slightly. I make mostly green smoothies, but I also have made breakfast smoothies and other variations. I have also created my own superfood combinations with ingredients like turmeric, ginger powder, and cilantro. This is a good resource.
